Lynx guard Miles wins WNBA Rookie of the Year award in unanimous vote
Olivia Miles is the unanimous WNBA Rookie of the Year, setting a new record with 790 points and averaging 19.8 points and 6.0 assists.
On Monday, the WNBA unanimously named Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles the 2026 Rookie of the Year, with Miles receiving all 74 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
Miles capped her historic debut season by breaking Caitlin Clark's 2024 rookie scoring record, finishing with 790 points while averaging 19.8 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.7 rebounds over 40 games.
Her performance included sweeping all four WNBA Rookie of the Month awards and earning an All-Star Game starter selection, helping the Lynx secure a league-best 33-11 regular-season record.
Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve also earned Coach of the Year honors for a league-record fifth time, while the team faces an elimination game against the New York Liberty in their first-round series.
Miles became the sixth Lynx player to win the award, joining past winners like Maya Moore and Napheesa Collier, as the team pursues a record fifth WNBA championship title.
