During underwater excavations off the coast of Adrasan in Antalya, a 2,100-year-old shipwreck carrying some of the most luxurious tableware of the ancient world was discovered. Thousands of ceramic plates recovered from the seabed were found to have survived intact from pre-Christian times to the present day thanks to the clay placed between them.

In underwater excavations that began in 2025 off the coast of Adrasan, Antalya, thousands of artifacts were recovered from a shipwreck approximately 2100 years old. Among the finds are ceramic tableware items in 122 different forms and sizes.
