LUMA Energy Requests Emergency Rate Increase of 2.8 Cents per Kilowatt Hour

A resounding "no" from the chairman of the House Government Committee, Víctor Parés, to LUMA Energy's request to raise the price of a kilowatt hour by 2.76 cents.

The temporary adjustment, which would take effect in June, would allow the operator to raise $40 million per month for operating expenses.
