Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan Face $1.4M Claim over Nashville Steakhouse Closure
Village 21 Investment Partners says the trio personally guaranteed a 10-year lease and owes more than $1.4 million after the restaurant closed.
Village 21 Investment Partners LLC filed a motion in Davidson County Circuit Court to add Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Adam LaRoche as defendants in a lawsuit over their closed Nashville restaurant, E3 Chophouse.
The lawsuit alleges the trio 'stopped paying the monthly rent and abruptly closed the restaurant' in February, with the landlord claiming a default on their lease agreement and seeking more than $1.4 million in damages.
General Manager Robert Kilborne previously stated the restaurant had been 'grappling with rising operating costs, increased pricing pressures, a saturated market, and the impacts of higher taxes and regulatory expenses' before closing.
Online court records show a hearing for the civil case is set for Friday, June 26, after Outlaws, LLC—the restaurant's operating company—received a default judgment of more than $1.4 million earlier this year.
Located in the Hillsboro Village neighborhood, the Nashville location was one of two E3 Chophouse restaurants in the country, while the original venue opened in 2013 and remains operational in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
