Byrnes 4-Star RB Tre Segarra Commits to LSU Football, Lane Kiffin
Segarra rushed for 1,460 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior, giving LSU its 11th commitment in the 2027 class.
On Tuesday, four-star running back Tre Segarra committed to LSU, choosing the Tigers over South Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State, Indiana and Stanford.
Known to be "quicker than fast" thanks to his soccer experience, the 5-foot-10, 210-pound Segarra recorded 1,460 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior for Byrnes High School.
Segarra marks the 11th commitment to LSU's 2027 class, joining five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson and four-star quarterback Peyton Houston among eight four- or five-star prospects.
Working under running backs coach Kevin Smith, Segarra will develop into a reliable offensive option as coach Lane Kiffin's offensive scheme continues attracting elite recruits.
Ranked as a top-10 running back nationally by the 247Sports Composite, Segarra joins a class where LSU now holds six prospects ranked within the top 200 nationally.
