- Households face immediate cost pressure from the hike, but Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Indian Oil Corporation urged calm, saying India has sufficient stocks and no shortage.
- This is the first domestic LPG revision since April 2025, with officials stating India has diversified supplies and reserves to increase imports if needed.
