Lines formed outside Tehran petrol stations from midnight as a daily shortfall met with panic buying, while officials denied a shortage and said prices would have to change, without clarifying when or by how much.
The ranks are growing in Tehran’s gas stations as the U.S. has tightened its blockade and threatened more severe sanctions, and some people wait two hours or more to fill the tank.
