Love Island: All Stars Villa Evacuated over Wildfires
ITV postponed filming after wildfires in South Africa's Western and Eastern Cape forced evacuation, delaying the series set to feature returning contestants and run for six weeks.
- Following a production evacuation, ITV announced Love Island: All Stars filming will be postponed, delaying the January 12 broadcast on ITV2 and ITVX.
- Strong winds and high temperatures fuelled wildfires across South Africa's Western and Eastern Cape, with fires in Langrug and Franschhoek, the Boland, described as 'out of control' and closing roads to the villa.
- A source told The Mirror Islanders were due Saturday, making 'get in' logistics critical, and said `Crew are understandably worried but the welfare team are making sure there’s support available. They’ve been told to stay in their hotels`.
- The planned launch on Monday has been cancelled, delaying the first episode, and the ITV1 repeat will be replaced with The Essex Millionaire Murders, ITV said.
- Returning to South Africa, the All Stars series hosted by Maya Jama with Iain Stirling reunites 12 contestants including winners Jess Harding, 25, and Millie Court, 29, and was set for six weeks, up from five.
