Loudoun Co. Schools Vote to Keep Bathroom, Locker Room Gender Policy Despite Education Dept. Finding

The board cited a conflict between federal guidance and court precedent protecting transgender students and voted 6-3 to uphold its 2021 policy despite federal pressure.

The Loudoun County School Board voted not to comply with a request from the Education Department to sign a resolution agreement to change the Virginia school system’s policy allowing transgender students to use facilities that match their gender identity.
