LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) — On Monday, the Los Alamos County Ice Rink announced a pause in opening up for the season. Officials sighted mechanical issues as the problem. They say their "chiller system," a tool that helps build ice, failed. They say once it's fixed, they will immediately start building up ice. Another factor is the seasonably warm weather. Rink officials are aiming for Nov. 28 to officially reopen.
