The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has conducted a survey that reveals that Aragon and the Balearic Islands are the autonomous communities that have the longest waiting lists for a consultation with the specialist (or for a diagnostic test) in the National Health System, reaching an average wait of 165 and 162 days, respectively.

The latest figures show by the end of March 2025, waiting times of more than two years have fallen to just under 8,400 – the lowest level since April 2021.
