NEW YORK – A fire on a utility train on Long Island Rail Road caused the suspension of service in parts of West Hempstead Terminal on Friday morning. Service is suspended between West Hempstead and Valley Stream. LIRR authorities recommend passengers to use alternative services or the NICE bus, which is accepting LIRR fares on lines N1, N4, N6, N31 and N32.
