Lompoc community members are invited to a car seat safety talk and car seat safety checks event, 10:30 a.m.-noon Friday, Aug. 1 at Ryon Park, 800 W. Ocean Ave. Hosted by the Lompoc Library’s Charlotte’s Web Bookmobile and Moms Club of Lompoc, the free event is part of Books & Bubbles at the Park, and will feature a visit from the Lompoc Fire Department.
