New surprising details have emerged about the scandalous Hungarian gift intended for the coronation of British King Charles III. According to 24.hu, Katalin Novák originally planned a luxurious surprise for 2023: a carriage and its accompanying Lipizzan horses would have been taken to London. However, the grandiose plan did not meet with unanimous approval at the British royal court, so they ultimately decided on a more modest gift.
The President of the Republic would have given Charles III a four-horse carriage as a coronation gift, but the British requested modest gifts, so he only brought hiking boots. However, the organization of the original gift had already begun, and so the two Lipizzan horses finally arrived in the island country a year later, not formally as a gift, but only on loan.
