- The program preserves U.S. strategic fighter production capacity and supports over 1,500 skilled jobs through the Greenville production line, while full F-16 Block 70 fleets give Bulgaria Air Force and Slovakia Air Force national air defense and NATO air policing capability.
- The Block 70 includes the APG-83 AESA radar with 95% software and 70% hardware commonality with the F-35, while Europe hosts more than 700 F-16s and a global sustainment network.
- Lockheed Martin's Mike Shoemaker said, `This milestone represents the talent and dedication of the joint government, military and industry teams,` as Bulgaria and Slovakia move into daily operations, enhancing NATO readiness.
- The F-16 program is powered by a global supply chain of more than 530 suppliers across 12 countries, including European partners such as LOTN and Avionams, aligning with Lockheed Martin's 21st Century Security vision.
