MacDougall gathers Gold Axe at Lochaber

Cameron MacDougall of South Orange, New Jersey, late of Nigg, Scotland, won the Lochaber Gold Axe at the annual Lochaber Gathering, events held at locations within the West Highland town. Sandy Cameron of Roy Bridge, Scotland; Sandy Cameron, Lesmahgow, Scotland; and Calum Brown, Aberdeen, did well overall through the top events.

Lochaber Gathering Results – Piping Press

This competition was held yesterday, August 29, in Fort William. The senior events were held in and outside the Highland Cinema and the junior events on the lawns in the town centre. The day was a great success with more than 50 pipers taking part and concluding exactly on schedule. It was credit to new Lochaber Piping Society Chairman James Rosie.
