Local students learn about jobs in timber and wildland fire industries

UNION COUNTY — On Tuesday, local high school students participated in the Oregon Department of Forestry’s Northeast Oregon District’s annual Jobs in the Woods Day. Hagedorn Logging hosted the students on a logging job and taught them about jobs in the timber industry. They also learned about careers in wildland fire in addition to a mill tour.
