Local school teams qualify for state at Mathcounts regional competition

Bemidji Middle School recently took second place at the Mathcounts regional competition, held on Feb. 6 at Northland Community Technical College in Thief River Falls. Mathcounts gives students in grades 6-8 an opportunity to sharpen their skills in math. A total of 58 students from eight teams participated in the competition.
