Six local residents have refused to accept the "final" permit for Club Brugge's new stadium. They have lodged an appeal in cassation with the Council of State, which must now rule on whether the Council for Permit Disputes committed procedural errors. Club does not have to await the outcome of the new procedure and may, in principle, already start building.
The Council for Permit Disputes announced in early July that the appeal against the environmental permit for the construction and operation of the new football stadium had been rejected. Club Brugge is therefore taking a significant step towards a new stadium, and everyone is happy with that. Or are they?
