Local businesses urged to apply for federal flood funds by June 10
Eligible businesses, nonprofits and residents can borrow up to $2 million for repairs and working capital, with rates as low as 2.875%, the SBA said.
Washington residents, businesses, and nonprofits face a June 10 deadline to apply for Small Business Administration disaster loans following severe flooding in December 2025.
Historic flooding from December 5–19, 2025, in King County's Snoqualmie Valley and Cedar River prompted the SBA to offer recovery assistance for storm-related losses.
Borrowers can access up to $2 million for businesses, $500,000 for homeowners, and $100,000 for renters, with interest rates as low as 2.875% fixed for homeowners and 4% for businesses.
The SBA notes advantages including 12-month deferments with "no waiting for insurance to settle," plus ability to apply for loans the same day of Federal Emergency Management Agency registration.
Interested applicants can submit forms via the MySBA Loan Portal or contact the Customer Service Center; those with speech disabilities should dial 7-1-1 for telecommunications relay services.
