Liverpool Signs Spain Winger Victor Muñoz From Osasuna
The 22-year-old forward signed a six-year contract after a breakout season with Osasuna, where he scored seven goals and added five assists.
On Thursday, Liverpool signed 22-year-old Spain winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna for 40 million euros , completing a six-year contract at Anfield while the player was at the World Cup.
Head coach Andoni Iraola made Munoz his first signing after replacing Arne Slot, addressing Liverpool's need for attacking reinforcements following the departure of long-time star Mohamed Salah.
Iraola's side secured the player by hijacking Newcastle United's move for the winger, who developed through Barcelona's La Masia academy and Real Madrid's youth team before joining Osasuna in July 2025.
During Monday's 0-0 draw with Cape Verde, Munoz served as an unused substitute while stationed at Spain's World Cup base in Tennessee completing his medical.
The breakout star scored seven goals and provided five assists for Osasuna, with his speed and dribbling ability earning him a spot on Spain's talent-packed World Cup squad.
The Liverpool football club announced that it has hired the Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna, and according to the media, the transfer is worth around 40 million euros.
