Journalists Are No Longer Allowed to Go to the Pentagon Alone
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered that journalists in large parts of the Pentagon building should have official escorts. The new rule is the youngest in a series of restrictions imposed on the press by the Trump administration. The measure that comes into force with immediate effect prohibits reporters from staying at the Department of Defense headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, unless they have official permission and escort.
