High winds pummeled Colorado’s mountains Wednesday evening, causing howling gusts and power outages in some parts of the state. Just how fast was the wind whipping though? On top of one mountain, gusts reached nearly 100 mph, according to the National Weather Service. In Steamboat Springs, wind on top of Mt.
