Little League NYS All-Star 11s baseball: Mid-Island cops state title with 16-7 win over Sayville

BRONX, N.Y. -- Joe Calabrese has been around the block in his 20+ years of managing Little League teams, but the veteran skipper who guided the 2018 Mid-Island 12s to a berth in the Little League World Series, would be hard-pressed to come up with a game where a squad he managed performed as badly as his 11-year-old club did in the New York State title game Thursday at Van Nest Little League.
