Lithuanian PM demands Church cooperation after priests charged with child sex offenses

Sinkevičius says 34 alleged episodes over 23 years show the need to assess whether church and state systems failed to detect abuse.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius on Thursday called for cooperation from the Catholic Church and answers on whether it took sufficient steps to detect and prevent child sexual abuse after two priests were charged with sexual offenses involving children.
