The picturesque town of Itala (Messina province) in Sicily has traditionally become a place of residence for artists from Northern Lithuania, where the cultures of the Baltic and Mediterranean regions meet. The project has been implemented for the fourth year in a row by the Šiauliai Art Gallery, in cooperation with the cultural and educational center "Labas Itala".
