Life in Gaza 'completely unbearable', says UNRWA
GAZA, JUL 24 – Malnutrition cases in Gaza have risen over 150% since March amid restricted aid access and ongoing conflict, with thousands facing severe food shortages, UNRWA reports.
- On Thursday, Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said people in Gaza are 'neither dead nor alive,' and Senior Emergency Officer Louise Wateridge described the situation as 'completely unbearable.'
- Amid ongoing blockade, Louise Wateridge said on Thursday that cases of malnutrition have risen by over 150% since March this year, due to Israel's restrictions on aid access.
