Due to warm, humid air flowing into a stationary front over Kyushu, heavy rain was observed in Kumamoto Prefecture on the 28th. At 10:39 a.m., the Japan Meteorological Agency issued a Level 4 landslide risk warning for Koshi City and Otsu Town. The Kumamoto Local Meteorological Observatory called for extreme caution, stating that the risk of landslides is high.
The meteorological observatory has issued a Level 4 landslide risk warning for Takeo City and Arita Town. In Saga Prefecture, please be extremely vigilant against landslides until the morning of the 28th. Be aware of and take precautions against flooding in low-lying areas and rising or overflowing rivers until midday.
