Letters, Feb. 15, 2025: 'How do they justify the $28-million shortfall in their yearly budget'

Summary by Calgary Sun
If in fact as the Calgary police have stated many times that photo radar isn’t a “cash cow”, how do they justify the $28-million shortfall in their yearly budget now that the province has all but eliminated its use? Don’t get me wrong, I’m in favour of photo radar in specific areas. But for years we’ve been told it’s a safety tool, not for generating revenue. I think we need some clarity on this issue.
