Wally Reno opined that “Perez is best chance in 3rd District” (Our Readers’ Views, Aug. 1). Reno describes exactly the situation that begs for a proportional ranked choice vote election process. Without explicitly stating as much, Reno highlights how our current duopoly stifles voter voices by not allowing voter preferences to be considered.
