To the editor, I wrote this letter back in 2010. Nothing has changed except governments that still have done nothing: The lack of preparedness in fighting the wildfires here in B.C. and elsewhere in Canada is appalling. All the money that is being contemplated to spend on fighter jets for our military, should, instead, be spent on firefighting bombers and spotter planes.
