Residents were evacuated Wednesday afternoon as officials removed homemade illegal fireworks after discovering a suspicious package at an office space in San Gabriel. The U.S. Postal Service notified San Gabriel police around 3:30 p.m. of a suspicious package at 1818 S. San Gabriel Boulevard, north of the 10 Freeway.
