Editor, The Smithfield Times: I would like to give a “shout-out” to Smithfield Town Manager Michael Stallings and his work to protect the children on Halloween. He has coordinated with the town police chief for a policeman to be stationed at the corner of Thomas and Church streets, so that oncoming traffic will be alerted to the presence of our trick-or-treaters on that night.
