Letter: AI built on public data should be public utility | Honolulu Star-Advertiser

The tech overlords leading the charge to force AI on us have taken all human information, art, literature, science and more, much of it for free via the internet (itself developed by the people via government). Now the tech billionaires want to sell what we gave them back to us, like a utility. We should embrace that model. Of course, it should be a public utility that the people get to regulate, not tech billionaires.
