The German strawberry harvest will probably be as bad this year as it has been for three decades. That has a reason that has nothing to do with the weather.

There are fewer asparagus and strawberries from Bavaria. In the case of asparagus, the harvest volume is estimated to have fallen by almost 12 percent to 17,200 tonnes compared to the previous year, as reported by the Landesamt für Statistik.
