Lee Chang-Dong's 'Possible Love' to Hit Korean Theaters Ahead of Netflix Release

- September festival screenings include the film's world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where it will vie for the Golden Lion, followed by its North American debut at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival.
- Featuring a star-studded ensemble, the production reunites Lee with accomplished collaborators Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong, marking his first feature film in eight years since the critically acclaimed 'Burning' .
- Plot centers on two married couples—Mi-ok and Ho-seok, a laid-off worker and his wife, and Ye-ji and Sang-woo, a filmmaker and her husband—whose worlds collide, surfacing hidden desires and emotional fractures in both marriages.
- Reflecting on the lengthy production, Lee said in a statement on Netflix's Tudum site, "I'm not the type of filmmaker who can make movies easily," explaining his need to understand a film's meaning before beginning.
