Le Portier Cognac and America’s Gold Star Families Launch Memorial Day 2026 Initiative Featuring Shannon Sharpe Visiting U.S. Troops
Le Portier will donate a portion of online bottle sales through July 6 as Shannon Sharpe visits military bases to honor Gold Star families.
On Friday, May 22, 2026, Le Portier Cognac and America's Gold Star Families announced a Memorial Day initiative honoring military service and the lasting legacy of military families, led by co-founder Shannon Sharpe.
America's Gold Star Families, a nonprofit organization, provides honor and healing to families of fallen military heroes. "We are honored to partner with Le Portier Cognac," said Executive Director Darin Funk.
From May 21 through July 6, Le Portier Cognac will contribute a portion of online bottle sales proceeds to support outreach for families navigating the loss of a loved one in military service.
Sharpe will visit military installations including Nellis Air Force Base and Fort Benning to spend time with active-duty service members at private appreciation events centered on connection and respect.
The initiative extends beyond Memorial Day to elevate stories of service and remembrance. "These visits are about listening, showing appreciation, and honoring the commitment and sacrifice of military families," Sharpe said.
