Feds Say 2 Arrested in 24 Pound Fentanyl Handoff Inside LAX Bathroom

- Federal authorities observed the pair attempting to exchange narcotics in an airport restroom on Aug. 19, prompting investigators to detain both men and search a duffel bag carried by Olvera.
- Investigators found 10 brick-type packages inside the duffel bag, while prosecutors allege Tuz-Noh, who resides in Lennox, maintains ties to a drug trafficking organization.
- A magistrate judge released each defendant on $10,000 bond following their initial appearances in Los Angeles federal court, with arraignments scheduled for Sept. 17.
- If convicted, each man faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in federal prison, as Olvera allegedly intended to transport the narcotics to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
