Two people were shot by law enforcement officers – one of them fatally - in Tuscaloosa County Thursday morning. The shooting happened in the 13000 block of Glady Drive in Vance.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday which resulted in one death and one injury. Investigators are prepared to charge Ricky Adkins, a 36 year-old resident of Tuscaloosa County, with manslaughter in the death of his sister during the shooting.
