Lathrop GPM Combines with HG Law Expanding Global IP Capabilities, Adding Offices in New York and London and Continued Growth in Silicon Valley
The combined firm will have about $300 million in revenue and add 27 attorneys and 23 patent agents and technical advisors.
On Monday, July 20, 2026, Lathrop GPM announced its combination with HG Law, effective January 1, 2027, expanding global intellectual property capabilities with new offices in New York and London.
The merger serves as a strategic investment in Lathrop GPM's intellectual property practice, supporting growth objectives in Northern California by adding HG Law's depth in engineering-driven patent law.
Adding 27 attorneys and 23 patent agents from HG Law increases Lathrop GPM's headcount by approximately 7.5% to 370, while the combined firm will generate approximately $300 million in revenue.
Managing Partner Cameron Garrison of Lathrop GPM called the addition "transformative for the engineering side of our IP practice," while Managing Committee Member Gregory Lundell of HG Law praised the "tremendous opportunity."
New offices in New York and London link Lathrop GPM's existing East Coast offices in Boston and Washington, providing access to United Kingdom and European intellectual property sectors.
