A Whitwell angler has set a new Tennessee state record by catching a largemouth bass weighing 15 lbs 7.5 oz at Nickajack Reservoir, surpassing the previous record from 2015. The catch was made on a jackhammer chatterbait using fluorocarbon line and confirmed by genetic testing through the TWRA.
