The State Councillor, who was subject to disciplinary proceedings after his controversial remarks on possible "rafts" of illegal aliens, announced that he wished to retaliate in court in the face of a wave of attacks which he considered to be anti-Semitic.
The former lawyer Arno Klarsfeld, who was set up by a disciplinary procedure at the Conseil d'État for his comments on "gallets" of foreigners, will file a complaint for "incitement to hatred" against the "hundreds of abject tweets" targeting him, announced his lawyers on Thursday 29 January.
