Large fire damages Novato liquor shop

A fire broke out at a liquor shop in downtown Novato. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. Sunday in the Old Town Liquor shop at 878 Grant Ave. Firefighters used a ladder truck to access the building’s roof and then ventilate heat and smoke from the structure, the Novato Fire Protection District reported Monday.
