KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, JUL 20 – Brittany Force set a new Top Fuel speed record at 341.85 mph, making five of the top six fastest runs in NHRA history, despite finishing second at the event.
- On Sunday at Pacific Raceways, Top Fuel’s Shawn Langdon moved past Tony Stewart into the points lead, defeating Brittany Force in the final round.
- Competing in the Top Fuel category, Brittany Force delivered a blistering 341.85 mph semifinal run, surpassing her April record of 341.59 mph and claiming five of the six fastest speeds ever.
- In Funny Car action, Matt Hagan secured his 11th series win with a 3.904-second, 331.94 mph run in his Direct Connection Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, edging out Ron Capps.
- In Pro Stock Motorcycle action, Gaige Herrera became the quickest to 25 career NHRA wins with a 6.690 s at 201.55 mph, defeating Richard Gadson on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki.
- The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series returns July 25-27 with the 37th annual Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals at Sonoma Raceway, marking the final stop in the Western Swing.
