Heavy rains last night in the Rampur area of Shimla district caused a landslide on National Highway 5 (NH-5) near Dead Jury. This completely cut off Kinnaur district's connection to the state capital, Shimla. The Ganvi-Juri road in the Rampur area was also closed due to the landslide, disrupting six panchayats.
