Lakewood moves ahead with Lake Erie shoreline erosion projects

More than four years after the Lakewood, Ohio, City Council created the Shoreline Special Improvement District using a mechanism under Ohio law that allows lake or riverfront property owners with a common shoreline issue to work together to finance large-scale erosion control projects, the city is moving ahead with Lake Erie erosion control projects.
