While Lake Superior and Michigan- Huron are below their longterm monthly averages for July by 5 inches, it’s interesting to note that Lakes St. Clair, Erie, and Ontario are 4, 5, and 2 inches above their long-term average July levels, according to the Department of the Army Detroit District, Corps of Engineers, who provide a monthly update of the current water situation in the Great Lakes region.
