Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Reports 99.9% Residency Match Rate for Class of 2026
LECOM said 653 graduating students secured residency placements across the United States, including a 99.9% match rate and couples match success.
On September 10, the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine announced that 653 members of the Class of 2026 secured residency spots following their April 30 Match Day, achieving a 99.9% placement rate.
This performance follows the 100% residency placement rate reported for the Class of 2025; LECOM has graduated more than 18,000 healthcare professionals now serving communities across the United States.
Student Bhuvan Bodipati credited LECOM's focus on professionalism for his success, stating, "I felt like I was prepared from day one on how to be a doctor," during his residency interview process.
Graduates secured positions across multiple disciplines including psychiatry and internal medicine at institutions like Cooper University Hospital and the University of Virginia, reflecting diverse career paths.
