Police say alcohol, speeding and a risky pass likely caused the SUV to roll several times, leaving one passenger ejected.

- Investigators determined the white SUV lost control while attempting a risky pass around a sharp corner, with alcohol and speeding believed to be contributing factors according to the RCMP.
- One passenger was ejected from the SUV after failing to wear a seatbelt, underscoring the crash's severity. Emergency crews closed Carrs Landing Road until just before 3:30 p.m. to manage the scene.
- Media Relations Officer Ryder Birtwistle confirmed an impaired driving investigation resulted in a three-month driving prohibition for the driver, who is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
