GLAAD's 37th annual Media Awards honor 291 works across 32 categories promoting fair and inclusive LGBTQ representation in diverse media forms, supporting visibility amid rising disinformation.
- On Jan. 7, GLAAD unveiled nominees for the 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards, spotlighting 291 entries across 32 categories, with winners to be announced March 5 in Los Angeles.
- The awards aim to honor fair, accurate and inclusive LGBTQ representation across media, with nominees reflecting work published between Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2025, GLAAD said.
- Among distributors, Netflix topped the list with 23 nominations, followed by HBO/Max with 14, Apple TV with 11 and Hulu with nine, while music nominees include Lady Gaga, Elton John & Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Reneé Rapp and Conan Gray.
- GLAAD named its Special Recognition honorees this year, including make-up artist Andry José Hernández Romero and Before We Forget, while Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD president and CEO, executive produces alongside Rich Ferraro, Anthony Allen Ramos, and Jose Useche.
- The nominations span videogames and comic books as well as podcasts and local news, and since 1990 the GLAAD Media Awards have grown into the most visible annual LGBTQ awards, GLAAD said.
